Alexa+ Developer Docs Home
Alexa+ add-ons connect your services to Alexa+ so customers can discover and use them through natural conversation. Choose an integration approach from the following paths, then follow the path that fits your needs.
Find the proper integration approach
Use the integration approach guide to pick the proper integration method for your infrastructure, or review the following paths.
Category SDK
Best for: Partners whose services fit an Alexa+ supported category, such as restaurant reservations, food ordering, ride booking, home services, local booking, or ticketing.
Choose one of the following options:
- Category SDK: Action — For partners with established APIs who need low-latency, structured service-to-service communication.
- Category SDK: MCP — For partners who prefer the MCP approach for a supported category.
MCP Toolkit
Best for: Partners whose services don't fall under an Alexa+ supported category. Bring an existing MCP server or build a new one from the ground up.
