Understanding Appstore Quality Central
Appstore Quality Central is a comprehensive suite of testing tools and services that help you publish high-quality apps. Appstore Quality Central is designed to support you throughout the app development lifecycle, including the build, test, publish, and maintenance phases.
Key features
By testing your app through Appstore Quality Central, you can improve quality, increase stability, and optimize the user experience before you publish your app. Your tests let you experience what customers would see if the app were live in the Amazon Appstore. Appstore Quality Central has the following key benefits:
- Automated testing: Concurrently perform functional and performance testing on a range of devices.
- Live Device Interaction: Test your apps on a range of devices supported by Amazon Appstore by providing remote access to the Appstore device farm.
Testing workflow
The following image shows the testing workflow for Appstore Quality Central.
Appstore Quality Central home
On the Appstore Quality Central home screen, you can access the different features offered, including automated testing and Live Device Interaction. Appstore Quality Central offers these features to help you gain insights and fix issues in your app.
To access Appstore Quality Central
- Go to the Developer Console dashboard and sign in.
- On the top navigation bar, select Tools & Services > Appstore Quality Central.
Decide which feature you want to start with and click Get Started next to that feature.
To go directly to a feature, use the following instructions:
- For automated app testing, choose Test Your App.
- For viewing existing test runs, choose Tests Summary.
- To test app functionality on virtual devices, choose Get Started from the Live Device Interaction — Virtual Devices card.

To test app functionality on real physical devices, choose Get Started from the Live Device Interaction — Physical Devices card.
Important: The Live Device Interaction physical device farm is available to select partners only.
